I have always enjoyed working with children, but I found my true love when I began teaching preschool. The preschool years are a time of exploration, wonder and excitement and I am honored to be your child's teacher during their first school experience!
My husband and I have been living in Cumming, Georgia for three years now. We have five children who range in age from almost 13 to 3. Two of our children our in middle school at Liberty Middle School, two of our children are in elementary school at Sawnee Elementary and our youngest is enrolled in the Pre 2 program at Discovery Point.
I am originally from the midwest- Lafayette, Indiana to be percise. I attended Ball State University where I studied early childhood and special education. This is my second year teaching Georgia Pre K here at Discovery Point. The Georgia Pre K program is an exceptional program to be a part of and Discovery Point Midway is a great place to be!

My husband and I have been residents of Forsyth County for 25 years. I have two children who attended Midway Elementary and now are graduates of South Forsyth High School. My daughter Lauren is 22 and working here in Forsyth County. My son Will is beginning his Freshman year at North Georgia University. I have watched my children reach many milestones and I can relate to the range of emotions you may be experiencing as you watch your child grow more and more independent this year in Pre K.
I have been working at Discovery Point for ten years now and this is my sixth year working in Georgia Pre K.
I have had the opportunity to watch many of these children come into the building as babies, so they are near and dear to my heart. I will treat them as my own! I thoroughly enjoy helping them grow and learn as we prepare them for kindergarten.
